Real Wedding by Ikonica

Fraser and I first met in 2002 through friends. We went on one date but the timing wasn't right for us to continue anything further. Later on, in 2006, we reconnected (yet again, through friends) and went on another date. It was the best date of my life. Six months later, we were engaged.

October 18, 2009, we got married at the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto. Our wedding day was magical. With the support from our family, friends, and wedding party, that day was exceptional. Guests arrived from all over the world to share our joy. Everyone truly made it the most amazing day of our lives. There was such an air of romance and love from the beginning to the very end of the night. It was a dream wedding. Our event planner, Lianne Adelson from The Event Boutique, ensured that everything came together seamlessly. The photos of Fraser and I were taken at the newly completed Royal Conservatory of Music. The ceremony was lit by the chuppah and candles.

The dining room was equally enchanting. Each table setting was like a piece of art, predominantly lit by candles and matched by incredible flowers by Lidia Tacconelli of Fiori.

Our colour scheme, gold and purple, aptly complemented the richness of the Four Seasons Hotel and unified our theme even further.

We were immersed in a fantasy of love and beauty. Our bridesmaids looked beautiful, our venue was exquisite, and our guests participated wholeheartedly. Throughout the evening, we included some unique touches that brought out our individuality while embracing the romance and fun of the wedding reception. For our wedding cake, we had a French macaron tower by Bobbette & Belle. We also incorporated several stations apart from the main reception for guests to mingle and have some fun. One of these was a photo booth. It is hysterical to see the pictures as the night went on. On a sentimental note, the photo booth acted as a guest book. Guests had their picture taken; they inserted it into the book and wrote personal notes. What a great idea! We also had a candy table and a lounge area for guests so they could have a place to congregate outside of their tables. Late in the night mini hamburgers and grilled cheese were served. It was an unforgettable day we will cherish forever.
