Real Wedding by John Lyons Weddings
Krista planned her picture perfect wedding; it was built around the availability of John Lyons Photography. Krista had met John over one year earlier as a bridesmaid. She was extremely impressed with his creative style, artistic vision, and how much fun he had taking pictures. John had two dates left for 2009, one weekend in October and the other in December (later scheduled for her brother, Steve's, wedding).
On October 10, 2009, Krista Schiefer married Trevor Whaling in the same Leamington St. Michaels Parish her parents were wed - 33 years ago. The 8 bridesmaids wore burnt orange dresses that captured the fall season. The 8 groomsmen and 3 ring bearers wore brown tuxedos, the same colour Trevor's father wore at his wedding. Krista wore a beautiful strapless Allure Couture wedding dress from Bridal Couture in Windsor, Ontario.
The guests were received at Windsor's famous Giovanni Caboto Club. The tables and chairs were draped with chocolate brown linens, and a burnt orange table runner added a splash of colour to the setting. Oak Farms Ltd. in Leamington created beautiful bouquets and breathtaking centerpieces.

Tall dramatic vases placed at various tables were adorned with billowing artificial grasses, hydrangea, hypercium, cherry brandy roses, bear grass and curly willow.
At other tables hung gold chandeliers filled with hydrangea, bear grass, James story orchids and cherry brandy roses. The candle lit chandeliers provided the perfect ambiance for the room. The venue was decorated by Jacobs Flowers and Gifts, Leamington. Krista envisioned fall elegance and wanted her guests to be wowed. The dessert table by the Canadian Bread Bakers in Windsor was not only delicious, but a perfect complement to the beautiful fall themed room. The cake created by Couture Cakes by Nicole was stunning.
Guests were entertained all evening by the local popular band, Blonde Tango. The final song, AC/DC's Shook Me All Night Long, was sung by the fun newly married couple. The wedding was exactly what Trevor and Krista wanted—many tears, many laughs, and many friends. A day they are thankful can be remembered through the camera of John Lyons.
