Apparently, opposites do attract. While Bryan, a 24-year old Account Manager prefers to watch or play sports in his downtime, Kara, a 24-year old graduate student finds her passion in art and literature. Despite this, what Bryan and Kara do share is a deep love for one another. The couple exchanged vows in beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, where the entire day was devoted to what is most important to both Bryan and Kara: family, friendship, excellent food, and wine.
While Bryan and Kara both hail from Peterborough, ON, the Niagara region has held a special place in their hearts as the location of many significant moments in their relationship, and was thus the most logical choice for their intimate fall wedding. Choosing the undeniably quaint St. Mark's Anglican Church for their ceremony, Bryan, dressed in a sleek grey Calvin Klein suit, was utterly in awe of Kara as she walked down the aisle with her parents. Kara's strapless satin and lace Monique Lhuillier gown and dramatic cathedral-length veil were perfectly accented by her purple and ivory bouquet of picasso calla lilies, roses, and toad lilies, as created by the very talented Vintage Design Company. The bride later put on a custom-made lace shrug to keep warm throughout the cool October day.

The bridal party wore vibrant violet gowns and carried matching magenta and mauve bouquets of roses, hydrangeas, and lilies.
Approximately 60 family members and close friends continued the celebration at Hillebrand Estates Winery in their newly constructed Pavillion. Guests enjoyed stunning views of Niagara wine country during the cocktail hour as they sipped ice wine cocktails and nibbled on sliders, mini paninis, and herbed french fries. Hillebrand's Brut, Muscat, and Cabernet Merlot wines also flowed freely throughout the evening. The impressive dinner followed, with a sweet corn veloute, a duo of chicken and halibut, and icewine-soaked apple crepes to cap off the evening. An acoustic trio provided the entertainment, perfectly in line with the laidback, intimate atmosphere of the day.
The wedding was a classy celebration of Bryan and Kara's new beginning that captured the essence of wine country with its emphasis on good food, good wine, and good company.
