Just a little further

Real Wedding by Studio 2000

We first met nearly 7 years ago going through our first year of school at the University of Waterloo. From that point on it took nearly a year and a half for us to actually start dating, despite the fact that we both always secretly liked each other. We both thought that the other was way out of our league. Since March of 2002 we have been inseparable.

It was December 1st of 2005 when he proposed to me. I was under the impression that we were going to meet up with his coworkers for drinks at a hot spot just outside of Toronto. I was all dressed up and ready to meet the coworkers he had talked so much about. After work that Friday night he picked me up and we started to drive. Every time I asked are we almost there he would say "just a little further". By the time we reached Kingston I knew we were not just going to meet his coworkers. I made him confess and he said that he had packed all my things and that we were going on a much needed weekend get away to Montreal, a city we had both never been to before. When we got to Montreal that snowy night and went to our fancy downtown hotel room, he unexpectedly got on one knee and finally I knew what was up.

The wedding day was absolutely beautiful. It turned out better than we had ever envisioned. I loved the way my dress and hair looked. I loved the beautiful pearl set my husband had given to me to wear as my wedding gift. When I walked down the aisle to the gazebo at the Royal Ambassador I was so impressed.

The bridesmaids in their champagne dresses, the groom and groomsmen in their black and gold tuxes, the cream topiary balls, the flowers and candles along the aisle runner, everything looked stunning. Now I was excited about what was waiting for us at the reception hall.

When we got to our reception hall at La Primavera, we ran into the room to see what everything looked like. and all we could say was "WOW". As one of my friends described it later that night it was so "Goth White Chic". The Mirrors, the candles, the white lacker urns and chandeliers, the large topiary balls and the tall floral centre pieces made for a very romantic and elegant setting. Our cake (picked by my husband and my dad) was simple and elegant to match the feel of our wedding.

When we first met with George at Studio 2000, and saw his work, we knew that he had the eye and passion for his work that we had been hunting for four months. When he said that he was available to shoot our wedding day we were thrilled and immediately signed up. His professional manner at handling his business and his creativity behind the camera was the perfect mix for a perfect photographer. When we came back from our honeymoon we were very excited that he already had our 750 proofs organized and ready for us to pick up. When we saw the pictures we were very pleased to see that every detail of our wedding was captured so beautifully and artistically. Now, we can forever look at our photos and relive our elegant wedding with our friends and family."
