La Cançao Jazz Bossa Nova
La Canção [cansao] is a jazz bossa nova band from Dunham in the Eastern Townships, playing at times as a duo and others as a quartet. The founding members are Daniel Jolin on guitar and Rebecca Rowley on vocals, and when playing as a quartet Olivier Babaz joins us on the stand-up bass and Yannick Parent on the drums. Our name is derived from "song" in the portuguese language, as a reference to the brazilian birthplace of a vast majority of the bossa nova repertoire....
