Caroline and David met at Koko lounge in the Opus hotel in Montreal three and a half years before their very romantic wedding day. Although they are celebrating their one-year wedding anniversary this summer and expecting their first child in June, Caroline remembers David’s proposal like it was yesterday.“David invited me to dinner at our favourite restaurant. I was REALLY not expecting him to propose, I was in shock, I was so happy. I said ‘yes’ right away and jumped into his arms and cried. The entire restaurant applauded and we cracked open the Champagne!”
Caroline and David knew that they wanted an intimate wedding away from the city. Chateau St-Antoine proved to be the ideal location. It had everything they wanted: charm, serenity, a close spot to the water, beautiful gardens all surrounded by fields of wheat. “We were easily able to capture the serenity and sheer joy of the day, which is reflected in our photos,” said Marie-Helene Boucher of De Belle Photography.
As a surprise for their guests, Caroline and David performed a contemporary dance routine to “Can’t Help Falling In Love With You” by Ingrid Michaelson. One of their good friends is a dance professor who helped them prepare for the presentation complete with lifts and tender gestures.
But the moment that Caroline remembers the most about her wedding day is the ceremony. “I have no words to describe the way David looked at me the first time he saw me in my wedding dress. He looked so happy, his eyes were shining brightly full of love and emotion. I will always remember the way he looked at me that day…”
“It was easy for us to capture the love between Caroline and David. Their wedding was one of our most romantic ones of 2012. We wish them lasting happiness and congratulate them on their baby on the way,” said Marie-Helene Boucher of De Belle Photography.
