THE CEREMONY | Although the outdoor ceremony took place in front of a large group of family and friends, both the bride and groom wanted it to feel intimate. At the time, they were nervous to write their own vows, but in the end they couldn’t have imagined it any other way. The ceremony reflected their personalities and had plenty of laughter and happy tears. Jessica Douglas Photography captured every heartfelt moment.

THE RECEPTION | Jake and Shannon’s favorite part of the day was the reception. It quickly turned into a comfortable space that perfectly fulfilled their vision. Long white linens and greenery draped every table, alongside gold cutlery and marble name cards. Listening to their loved ones talk about their love was amazing. Everyone had the best time dancing and celebrating all night long.

THE DECOR  | Without a doubt, the couple wanted an elevated barn wedding theme for their decor. Instead of aiming for country rustic, they decided on modern rustic by incorporating light, airy, ethereal details such as white florals and plenty of greenery. Twinkling lights hung overhead, tables featured geometric votives and the cake was half-naked, half-metallic.
