CHARLOTTE BALBIER 2016 WILLA ROSE COLLECTION

When it comes to each intricate design of British bridal designer Charlotte Balbier’s 2016 Willa Rose Collection, the end goal is the same: remain graceful. As PR representative Nia Thomas puts it, “The new 2016 Collection captivates a bride’s imagination with Bohemian free-spirited designs to take Balbier brides on a magical journey.” From ethereal soft flowing chiffon gowns adorned with delicate rose details to Charlotte’s signature hand-cut flower designs these gowns will allure and charm brides into a dream-like state with their enchanting beauty. With rose pink, antique gold and rich ivory shades used as the primary colors for Charlotte’s palette, Nia goes on to say: “These divine fabrics set a fabulous backdrop to exquisite beading with hints of pearls and crystals, illusion belts and delicate flowers.” Here’s a closer look at six of her exquisite gowns accompanied by the inspiration behind its design.

Willa Rose not only is the signature gown from the new collection, but it is the gown to which the collection is named. This dress features a soft flowing chiffon skirt with a delicate floral cotton lace bodice. This gown is the ultimate Boho gown for the free-spirited bride.

Tarron is a rich mikado gown, which is one of Charlotte’s favorite fabrics to work within each season. This dress combines a full skirt with box pleats and a beautiful pearl and crystal belt detail. The long train and keyhole cut-away back detail is perfect for a bride wanting to make a statement.

Maud is a more simplistic gown for the bride who loves the tradition of lace flowing into a softer thinner skirt to the floor – a perfect gown for a garden wedding in the heat.

Lilac Charlotte’s personal favorite gown from the collection, this dream-like gown adorned with soft organza flowers over a French lace bodice and full romantic tulle skirt is for all the modern fairytale brides, embracing ethereal beauty and Charlotte’s signature style.

Loveday brings together a sheer neckline embellished with delicate lace creating great patterns on the shoulders. The round-cut lace back smoothes slowly down into a fishtail skirt.

Cara comprises stunning sequin patterns decorating a beautiful V-neck and short-sleeved dress. Silver and ivory sequin detailing runs right down to the mermaid shaped skirt.
