Since its opening over a year and a half ago, Joolz has provided a promising amount of brands and merchandise for fashionistas looking to glam up their jewelry. “Thanks to my background in jewelry as a buyer and regional supervisor for my father’s jewelry stores for over 25 years, focusing on bridal jewelry was second nature to me,” explains owner Lydia Mamane. “I took that experience with me to open Joolz Bar à Bijoux to the Millenial bride, whom we [cleverly] like to refer to as #Joolista!”
Shapes such as round brilliant, princess cut, and emerald cut stones can be found, along with gemstone bridal jewelry in sapphire, ruby, and emerald, for those interested in following the color trend.
“The bestsellers are usually ‘the classics’ (such as a solitaire diamond with multiple side stones), the ‘three stone ring’ (also known as past-present-future), and the ‘halo’ (a round center stone contoured by tiny diamonds in an antique setting),” says Mamane. “But oftentimes, a bride will choose a style in our shop and customize it to her needs regarding the four C’s of diamonds: cut, carat, clarity and color.”
With more brides expected to choose vintage-inspired diamonds or gemstone engagement rings over “the classics” in the coming year, Mamane has curated a stunning selection of up and coming jewelry from designers in NYC and LA to cater to this trend. “We want to introduce our brides to jewelry designers from around the globe exclusively available at Joolz in Canada.”
Brands already available at Joolz include Honora Fashion Pearls, BCouture, Swarovski Jewelry, and Phillip Gavriel New York. But come fall, Zoe Chicco LA and Ginette NY will be its two newest additions.
