When Danielle and Michael met while out at a club with some friends one night, they found out it wasn’t for the first time. After talking and getting to know one another, they realized they had met when they were kids. Immediately after, they started dating. On the day that Michael proposed, he planned for him and Danielle to go on a walk. Little did she know, he was actually taking her to a jeweler where she would build the perfect dream wedding ring. The day it was ready to be picked up, Michael arranged for him and Danielle to meet at a small restaurant. There he gave her the ring and popped open a bottle of Champagne, officially asking her to marry him.
On the day of Danielle and Michael’s wedding, the soon-to-be bride found herself welcomed by an unexpected surprise in the morning: rain. By the time she was dressed and ready to go, the skies parted and the sun came out shining bright. The ceremony took place outside in the courtyard of the Liberty Grand on what turned out to be a beautiful afternoon. When Danielle and Michael were pronounced husband and wife and all the guests joined in the applause, the family dog, Charlie, sweetly barked in agreement. Find this wedding in the June 2015 issue of Toronto’s Elegant Wedding Magazine.
The Artifact’s room of the Liberty Grand was the perfect venue for Danielle and Michael’s art deco-inspired wedding. From the lighting to the flower arrangements – which included orchids, cabbage and curly willow – different shades of purple draped the area. In an effort to add some masculinity to the mix, bold black and white accents were incorporated, giving off a very ‘50s James Bond-like vibe to the décor.
“Enjoy every minute and just have fun…don’t let the small things stress you.” – Danielle
