AN EQUESTRIAN BRIDAL THEME

Matilyn event planner toronto

This equestrian inspired bridal shoot is like something out of a rustic dream!

Matilyn and their team was energized about choosing a unique venue that embodies entertainment, class and elegance. The team pulled inspiration from The Queen’s Plate (Canada’s oldest and world-renowned thoroughbred horse race).  This race has been known for hosting royal visits from reigning monarchs. Being inspired by nature and choosing a triadic colour story of Lavender, Green and Gold created a harmonious colour palette.

Imagine guests arriving to an outdoor ceremony, where upon arrival they would be struck by the uniqueness of proximity to horse racing. A cedar pergola was designed and built. This created a backdrop to frame and create a focal point outdoors for the couple’s ceremony. White tulle with dry lavender, limonium (caspia), aster matsumoto, statice and clematis adorned the front fascia creating a beautiful archway where a few extra special moments were captured when jockeys riding their horses went by.

Matilyn and her team played up the Equestrian theme by bringing the outdoors in—clean, modern, art gallery-style venue, lit by candlelight with gold and black china accented by unique flatware and gold-rimmed crystal glasses. A Couple’s Crest hand-illustrated, taking a very personalized artistic approach that helped to make the couple’s venue their own. The banner highlighted the sweetheart table and would give the couple a lovely keepsake from their wedding.
