“At the beginning, I was inspired by the movie The Secret Garden. I have always loved and been fascinated by the movie because of its timeless charm and beauty and the idea of surrounding one’s self in a world of flowers and vines. It is simply divine. As I developed the theme, I found that setting the scene in a forest gave it an even deeper ethereal feel. From the lushness of the grapes in the florals to the tree bark textures in the stationery, all of these ingredients came together to create a truly enchanting look.” – Paige Lewis (Wedding Stylist & Decor)
Tip: Details, details, details. When designing the décor plan for a wedding or a style shoot, it is always important to remember that what you are doing is setting a scene and in essence, creating an environment. With this in mind, every last detail has to be taken into account. The secret to really “wowing” the onlooker is to make absolutely sure that every element of the scene coincides with the overall theme. If you are successful in doing this, guests should be able to enter your environment (your wedding) and feel as though they’ve just stepped into a different world.
