The bridal fashion from American designer Lela Rose’s Fall 2016 collection focuses on textures from nontraditional materials, unique craftsmanship, modern embroideries and constructed lace. A waxed thread embroidery on tulle – created in two scales to allow for a unique placement – was used to modernize a classic silhouette; hand-cut floral was applied with pearls and crystals to a cascade effect on a high neck gown, as well as a tiered dress; while metallic floral fil coupe leads way to a modern material playing with density by flowing from a sheer hem into an opaque textured bodice.
