Heather, brought in on a horse-drawn carriage, and Sean had a traditional Celtic/Scottish wedding stocked with kilts and fiddling under a beautiful pergola set on the stunning outdoor Honsberger Estate in Ontario. The rustic historical 110-year-old barn served as the perfect venue for Sean and Heather’s reception with large open windows and doors from the barn overlooking the rolling landscape of the estate, providing guests with a scenic indoor/outdoor atmosphere. Keeping with the rustic beauty of the barn and the estate, Heather and Sean decided on integrating décor that was quaint yet distinguished. Freshly cut wood from the family’s cottage was used to line the aisle, mason jars were used as candle holders and vases for lavenders – giving off a sense of freshly picked wildflowers – and locally made jams topped off with custom fabric and labels were given out as party favors. Guests were also welcome to take part in a variety of lawn games following the ceremony. Find this wedding in the June 2015 issue of Toronto’s Elegant Wedding Magazine.
