PURPLE WEDDING WITH OVERGROWN DETAILS

When all you want is to bring the outdoors in, Floral Werx & Decor makes it happen

Floral Werx & Decor transformed the synagogue where Aliyah and Michael’s traditional Jewish ceremony took place into a lush floral setting. For the Kabbalat Panim—a pre-nuptial custom that introduces the bride and groom—Aliyah made her entrance by standing in front of a magnificent purple-hued flower wall. At the ceremony, everyone was directed at a gorgeous chuppah covered in wild moss and branches. For the reception, Aliyah and Michael took part in a 45-minute horah dance where they were lifted up into the air on chairs. Michael’s groomsmen later sang the Italian wedding song from one of his favorite movies, The Godfather, and Aliyah surprised everyone by singing Marvin Gaye’s “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.” From the vinyl dance floor covered in wisteria trees to the flower wall where the photo booth was set up, everything came together just as Aliyah had hoped. Luminous Weddings captured the entire day beautifully. Find it in the Winter/Spring 2017 issue of Toronto’s Elegant Wedding Magazine !
