Toronto wedding photographer Amy Cheshire Photography beautifully captured Laura and Thomasโ waterfront wedding overlooking the Georgian Bay last summer. To start the ceremony off, the groom and groomsmen surprised everyone by arriving by canoe (fortunately not tipping it in the process) to the Mission: Impossible theme song. Keeping the mood light, the family dog (Riley), acted as the ring bearer.
Cocktail hour commenced in a neighborโs backyard followed by dinner set under a beautiful tent in Thomasโ parentโs backyard. During dinner, Laura and Thomas led a game of trivia, with all questions relating in some way to their relationship, and despite many of the guestsโ skepticism, a delicious vegetarian meal was had. Surprise fireworks set off during the coupleโs first dance, a sparkler dance occurred later in the evening and a calm bonfire was set up for guests to relax by later in the evening.
With the scenic Georgian Bay and incredible gardens of Thomasโ parentโs place as a backdrop, the little decor was needed to enhance the natural beauty of the location. Tables were decorated with white and peach flowers, birch-bark centerpieces that Lauraโs dad cut was placed at each table, and peach runners that her mother sewed were used in the ceremony. The brideโs sister also designed all of the signs for the wedding.
